Please select the AST 1 Class Session dates that you will attend through ZOOM or other online platform during the checkout process. The Class Session will be held over 2 consecutive evenings prior to your AST 1 Field Day. You will receive a confirmation email and an invite email to the online class session the week before your course.
In the AST 1 course you will learn how to recognize avalanche terrain and how to self rescue. An AST 1 is a 2 part course with classroom and field components. Everyone in your riding group should take an AST 1 if you are venturing into the backcountry. Recognize an AST 1 course is only the beginning - the avalanche pros will tell you avalanche training is a life long process.
